Tupelo, located in northeast Mississippi, is as centrally located within the Southern National community as you could ask! The intersection of Highways 78 and 45, as well as, The Natchez Trace Parkway allows easy accessibility to the championship for all our Southern National friends ... traveling from any direction! Few players will be required to travel more than six hours to arrive in Tupelo. For those that may have to travel a greater distance, we will have a very special award to the player arriving from the greatest distance!

Tupelo is recognized around the world as the birthplace of Elvis Presley. The small, shotgun house where Elvis was born, and the adjacent Elvis Presley Museum and memorial chapel, draw visitors from around the world!

Although commonly mentioned as a rural, Tupelo is the economic, medical, and cultural hub of Northeast Mississippi. With a population of around 40,000, we are blessed with many of the amenities of larger metropolitan cities.

Tupelo is known for its citizens "can do" spirit and volunteerism. The TDGA and its membership exemplify this spirit and are honored to have the opportunity to extend it to our Southern National friends.

There is an abundance of eating establishment in Tupelo and New Albany. Whether it be fast-food or white linen, there is an eatery that will accommodate any players palette. As with the hotels, the TDGA will enlist restaurant sponsors and have a listing of supporting establishments along with coupons in the near future.

The 2008 SNDG Doubles Championship will be three rounds with a total of 63 distinct holes played.

1st Round:	Advanced & Pro divisions will play the Tallahatchie Trails course while the Intermediate, Women and Juniors will play the Ole' Warrior Run course.
2nd Round:	Advanced & Pro divisions will play the Ole' Warrior Run course while the Intermediate, Women and Juniors will play the Tallahatchie Trails course.
3nd Round:	All divisions will play 27 holes at Veterans Park
